Growing up I was always reminded of this one rule “What goes on in this house, stays in this house.” That rule definitely didn’t apply to some because if so reality television wouldn’t be so prevalent. I guess money talks because the stuff they show on television today is not filtered at all, people will expose everything that is meant to stay behind closed doors for the right price. Growing up as a teenager the most exciting thing for me to watch on television was soap operas but they were off limits for young teenage girls. I would hear my mom on the phone discussing Victor and Niki on the Young and Restless with her friend from the next street over, this to me was what a secret was supposed to be. When I got older I couldn’t wait to watch the soaps but as I was watching I thought to myself um… is this what my momma couldn’t wait to watch at 12:30 pm… Things were discreet back then but now no holds are barred and nothing is off limits.
Falling out of love is very emotional, if you once loved. When you’re in love everyday is joyous but when you’ve fallen out of love everyday is full of heartaches. You were inseparable in the beginning thinking it would last and overtime you realized this was not the relationship you wanted. You’re miserable day in and day out, you cry yourself to sleep dreading another day with an individual you no longer love. Conversations no longer exist , touches are cold, and kisses are few and far between. You no longer care what happens to the one you once loved. Why endure more heartaches and pain? Now is the time to walk away.
Have you ever loved someone that didn’t love you back? It hurt so bad and the feelings you felt wouldn’t go away no matter how many tears you cried.
Have you ever loved someone that didn’t love you back? You didn’t think you could go on; you felt useless, your love was not wanted.
Have you ever loved someone that didn’t love you back? You hated the one who hurt you, you made a vow to hurt someone so they could feel your pain.
Have you ever loved someone that didn’t love you back? You wanted the feeling of loneliness to leave, you tried to snap out of it but it lingered.
Have you ever loved someone that didn’t love you back? You looked in the mirror time and time again giving yourself a pep talk “there’s more fish in the sea.” You said it but you didn’t believe it.
Have you ever loved someone that didn’t love you back? You felt guilty that the love you gave was not returned.
We have all loved someone that didn’t love us back, we have all cried tears of sadness for someone who wasn’t worth our tears, we have all given up on love.
We gave up on love but love never gave up on us. Love will find you no matter your address it will knock on your heart one day and never leave. Love will return into your heart, and say “I still love you.”
I hate death, but who in their right mind loves death; losing a love one is heart wrenching and it amazes me when I see the strength one has when burying a loved one. Death has no age restrictions, death doesn’t care how beautiful you are and death doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor. Tell your loved ones how much you love them while you can, because life is short. I lost my grandfather in 1991 and my bestie in 1998; I still mourn for them both and I often wonder why am I here and their gone. What did I do so special that my life was spared? To my grandad and my best friend I miss you both and I will continue to keep your memory alive.
Rest In Peace
